I am an electrical engineer living in the Baltimore, MD area, working as a consultant in hardware design and firmware development for embedded systems. My experience in the field goes back 14 years, to when I began as a technician, testing RF/Microwave gear in the QC department of a small company. Most of what I do involves embedded systems, microcontrollers, apps processors and the like. I also have experience designing analog circuits from low-frequency (audio) to high-frequency (RF), high-speed digital, audio and video interfacing, radio communications, and wireless devices.
To make the embedded devices that I design actually function, I do firmware development in C, targeting various platforms (MSP430, STM32, AVR, Microchip) and using a wide variety of IDEs (CCS, IAR, Eclipse + GCC.) I also like to use Python for testing and interfacing to hardware, and for the professional stuff I use MATLAB a lot.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, go golfing, fishing, and hit the archery range. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions – I enjoy teaching others who are interested and figuring things out for myself.
